Hello,
My sister pointed me here after noting that your post on tomatoes–and , esp., the post on Vick and factory farming–sounded identical to some of my recent rants (I’m spent too much time posting on facebook to the neglect of my own blog). Which they did. Just wanted to say that I enjoyed all of your writings.
Funny reading your line abou tthe D’backs win in ’01. I’m originally from North Jersey and a die-hard Yanks fan, but that almost didn’t matter to me–the come-from-behind wins in the divisional and wild-card series were sufficient (that may have been my all-time favorite Yanks line-up–I loved those old guys). In any case, the post-season really was haunting that year, and I’ll never forget it either.
I just started back to school at my ripe old age in a one year Organic Ag certification. Hence my appreciation for what you’ve written about food.
If you’re interested, here’s my own (wordpress) blog:

Couple of recent posts about food-related stuff, probably more in the archives.

I will definitely check out your blog. Thanks for the interest and expect many more food related rants here as well…
